Trumpeter Guy Few, soprano Leslie Fagan and pianist Stephanie Mara make up Project Aria. These incredible musicians present works by great composers including Bach, Handel, Greer, Mendelssohn and Mozart in a sparkling evening, full of delight and fun. A recital event that goes beyond the same old, same old, together this ensemble is electric. GUY FEW, trumpet, cornet, piano Guy Few, a virtuoso, is in demand as a trumpeter, cornist, pianist and singer. Montreal's Le Devoir calls him outrageously gifted and quite simply phenomenal. Mr. Few is equally at home in classical or contemporary genres. Guy was principal band trumpet player for the Grammy Award winning Hänssler recording of Penderecki's Credo with the Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra and Helmuth Rilling. He is currently co-artistic director of the Grand River Baroque Festival and sessional lecturer at Wilfrid Laurier University where he conducts the Wilfrid Laurier Brass Ensemble. LESLIE FAGAN, soprano Leslie Fagan's exceptional artistry and talent continue to garner much attention on both the national and international stage, Having performed under the batons of such noted conductors as Sir David Willcocks, Hans Graf, Boris Brott, Jukke Pekke Saraste, Elmer Isler and Daniel Lipton, Ms. Fagan has delighted audiences and critics alike at Roy Thomson Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. Ottawa born Leslie Fagan grew up in London, Ontario and now resides in Hamilton with her husband, the conductor and organist Richard Hansen and their new daughter Isabella. In between her busy performing schedule, Leslie collects antique linen and furniture, designs and makes many of her performance gowns. STEPHANIE MARA, piano Canadian pianist, Stephanie Mara, received an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University, where she studied with Garth Beckett. She is a collaborative pianist and coach for Wilfrid Laurier University where she works with performance majors in brass, bassoon, clarinet and cello, and has assisted in master classes with Alain Trudel, Joe Alessi and James Campbell. Stephanie has performed in recital and gala presentations with Canadian soloists James Campbell, Alistair Kay and Jasper Wood. Festival and series appearances include the Elora Festival, the Festival of the Sound, the Ottawa Chamber Festival, Barrie Colours of Music, and Quad City Arts (USA). Stephanie's broadcast credits encompass Bravo, CBC radio and NPR.
